A fixed team, the same Thursday: The invisible difference that changes everything

‘Fixed team’ sounds like marketing. Here's what it actually means day-to-day — and why it's worth more than a low hourly rate.

Cosy bedroom with plant — it gets cleaned every Thursday.

Almost every cleaning company writes ‘fixed team’. But what it actually means varies more than most clients discover before it's too late. We regularly see clients switch to us because ‘fixed’ at the previous provider meant ‘until someone's on holiday’.

What ‘fixed team’ actually means with us

  • The same two people every time. Not ‘same team, sometimes substitutes’.
  • If one is ill, one of our fixed reserves comes — not a stranger.
  • Holidays we plan a month in advance. You know before it happens.
  • Long-term cover (parental leave e.g.) I personally introduce you to the new person, not in a message.

Why it matters day-to-day

The small things that make a home a home — where glasses go, how the bed is made, that the dog isn't allowed in the bedroom Monday morning, that the book on the coffee table mustn't move because it's there on purpose — a team learns these calmly over time. Switch staff, it all has to be explained again.

It can sound like a luxury. But think of how many times you've had to explain where something goes. It takes time — your time. And it's never the same precision the first few times, because a new person naturally doesn't yet know what matters.

What does rotating staff actually cost?

Imagine three examples:

  • A fixture tap that drips if wiped wrong. The fixed team knows; the new person wipes it the wrong way each time, and you wonder why it drips.
  • A shoe on the entry shelf — the new team thinks it goes in the shoe cabinet. When you come home, it's gone. You find it, but it costs 5 minutes and a small annoyance.
  • A rug sensitive to suction. The fixed team uses a brush. The new team uses full suction. The rug wears faster.

Each thing is small. The sum over months isn't.

Frequently asked questions

What if I don't like the fixed team?
Call me directly. We switch to another team or constellation, no hard feelings — it's a normal human thing. Better we fix it than you leave after three weeks.
How long do people stay with you?
Our permanent staff are on A-income with collective agreement conditions. Average tenure is 2-3 years. Which is high for the industry, and deliberate.
What if someone quits?
We always have one reserve who knows all regular clients. In transition, the reserve comes with the new person so you know both. No stranger arrives alone.
Is it more rigid than flexible?
Not at all. Fixed team just means we know what works for you. If something changes — new home, new dog, new pattern — we adapt easily because we know the starting point.
